By light scanning 3-dimensional relationships between pelvis, spine and shoulders are shown as a radiation-free alternative to X-ray. As a world first, we have installed the "4D spine measurement" in the orthopedic center in Munich City. In addition to the 3-D measurement, short movement sequences can be recorded, so that it is easier to differentiate between functional and structural misstatements. Postural defects can be detected with this method as early as leg length differences and pelvic obliquity.
In 4D spine measurement, the patient is recorded at over 10,000 measurement points and up to 50 images per second. With the recording device, the patient is analyzed from a distance of about 2 meters in a 4D spine measurement. Based on this analysis, the therapy can be individually tailored to the needs of the patient. The detailed results of the 4D spine measurement are available immediately after the recordings.
